The One-on-One Training Process: Your Journey to Fit and Fierce

Congratulations on taking the first step! One-on-one personal training with me is all about YOU—your goals, your needs, and your story. Together, we’ll create a custom programs plan designed to help you feel strong, confident, and unstoppable. Your one on-one program can be online or in person. Here’s what to expect when we start this exciting journey together:

Step 2: Filling Out the PAR-Q Form

Before we begin our journey, I’ll ask you to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). This short form helps me understand your health history, physical readiness, and any limitations I should be aware of. It’s an essential tool that allows me to create a custom program tailored specifically to your body, goals, and needs. Once completed, simply email it back to me, and we’ll dive deeper during our call.

Step 3: The Discovery Call—Your Fitness Journey Starts Here

This is where we get to know each other better! During the call, I’ll ask you a series of questions designed to uncover your unique fitness story and goals. Here’s what we’ll cover:

  1. Your Goals
    What do you want to achieve through this custom program? Is it weight loss, building muscle, improving energy, or simply feeling like YOU again? Whether your goal is big or small, this is the time to dream out loud.
  2. Your Past Experiences
    Let’s talk about what you’ve tried before with personal training. Did you enjoy group classes but felt something was missing? Have you had a bad experience with fitness that discouraged you? Or maybe you’ve never trained before and don’t know where to start. I want to know what you loved, what you didn’t, and what motivates you.
  3. Your History
    Were you an athlete at one time but fell off the wagon? Did you wake up one day and say, “I need to make a change”—and here you are? Tell me your story, because it matters.
  4. Injuries or Limitations
    If you’re dealing with past injuries, joint issues, or chronic pain, don’t worry—I’m here to work around those challenges. My goal is to design a custom program that supports your recovery while still making progress toward your goals.
  5. Your Why
    Why do you want to make this change? Is it for your health, your family, your confidence—or maybe a combination of everything? Understanding your "why" keeps you motivated and focused throughout your journey.
  6. Your Support System
    Do you have friends, family, or loved ones cheering you on? A strong support system can make a huge difference, and if you don’t feel you have one, that’s okay—I’ll be in your corner every step of the way.
  7. Your Biggest Holdbacks
    What’s held you back from personal training before? Time? Fear of failure? Unsure where to start? We’ll identify those barriers and create solutions to overcome them.

Step 4: Creating Your Customized Program

After our call, I’ll take all the information we discussed—your goals, preferences, health history, and unique challenges—and use it to design a custom 12-week program built specifically for you. This isn’t a cookie-cutter plan—it’s a strategic roadmap designed to help you reach your goals efficiently and sustainably. This program is in person or online. 


Your program will focus on:
• Exercises tailored to you—movements that fit your body, goals, and preferences (and ones you won’t completely dread!)
• A schedule that works for YOUR life—so fitness enhances your routine, not disrupts it
• Smart progression—starting where you are and building safely and effectively
• Support and accountability—guidance to keep you motivated and on track


Because this program is built from the ground up just for you, there is a cost for the time, expertise, and effort it takes to craft a plan that actually works. But this isn’t just another workout plan—it’s an investment in your health, strength, and confidence. And as your coach, I’ll be with you every step of the way to adjust, adapt, and celebrate your wins.

Step 5: Your Fitness Journey Begins!

Once your custom program is ready, it’s time to get started. Together, we’ll take things one step, one lift, and one win at a time. I’ll guide you through the workouts, answer your questions, and provide the encouragement you need to succeed. And as you grow stronger physically, you’ll notice the mental and emotional changes too: more energy, greater focus, and a deep sense of pride in yourself.
